Family Fun

We recently had a good time at the zoo. We went with a large group of other families...we had a huge herd of kids walking around. Everyone had a great time & the weather was perfect.

Here is a pic of John, trying to keep the sun out of his eyes...

And another one...a rare pic of all 4 of us together.
We don't have very many of these. I need to work on that!

We also recently took Kenny all the way up to the top of the Arch! Ken & John decided it would be more fun to hang out at the bottom...so Kenny & Christine went all the way to the top together! Here is a pic of Kenny entering the 'pod'...

And...now we've made it inside the pod & on our way up to the top!
He's not sure what to expect....

And here he is at the top, looking out one of the the little windows...

We can't leave John out without a pic from that day!
We went out to lunch afterwards & John sat in a highchair for the first time...

And...here is just a fun one I took a couple of days ago. Kenny thought it would be fun if we would all be a family of fire-fighters. Yes-we do have enough hats for everyone...don't ask me where they all came from! I had mine on, but seemed to forget to get a picture of that! Here is a pic of John & Kenny in theirs though...

Happy 6 months John Henry!!

I can't believe I am already saying it...but John is 6 months old! He is not a newborn anymore & his personality is growing more everyday. Some things about John at this age...
  • He definitely has more 'spunk' than Kenny had at this age. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle all of his energy once he starts moving!

  • He LOVES his big brother & lights up every time Kenny enters a room.

  • He just started sitting up on his own really well. He loves to sit on the floor & play his little piano.

  • He also just started eating solids. He loves applesauce & has learned to love bananas too. Next, we will probably start moving on to veggies!

  • He loves to lay in his bed in the morning & babble. We have an on-going contest to see if it will be Ma-Ma or Da-Da first. I'm worried that Da-Da is in the lead...he seems to make more 'D' sounds than 'M' sounds right now!
